The one we'd hand
a sceptic.
Pea shoots are where most people start, and there is a good reason for that. They are sweet, tender and taste faintly of fresh garden peas — nothing peppery, nothing bitter, nothing you have to talk yourself into. Children eat them without complaint.
Cut for your order in Perthshire and out the same day, often in your hands within hours. Like everything we grow, they never sit in a warehouse — which is why a punnet holds for eight to ten days in your fridge rather than wilting by Thursday.
Scatter, don't cook.
One microgreen,
and nothing else.
Where the Fusion Mix gives you five varieties working across different nutrients, this gives you one variety done properly. Same tray, same water, same Perthshire grow room, same morning harvest — just a single plant, for people who know what they like.
From tray to table,
usually inside a day.
The whole journey, from your order landing to the punnet going in your fridge.
Why microgreens, and not just more salad?
Before you
order.
Are pea shoots a good place to start?
They are the one we would hand a sceptic. Pea shoots taste sweet and green and faintly of fresh peas — there is nothing challenging about them, no pepperiness, no bitterness. Children tend to eat them without argument, which cannot be said of every vegetable.
If you want the broadest nutritional spread, the Fusion Mix does more. If you want the easiest thing to actually eat every day, start here.
How long will they actually last?
Eight to ten days in the fridge, sealed in the punnet. That surprises people, and the reason is simple: none of that shelf life gets used up before you receive them. They are cut for your order and go out the same day, rather than travelling through a packhouse and a distribution centre first. You get the days a supermarket has already spent.
How quickly do they reach me?
Typically within 24 hours of being cut, and often just a few hours if you are local to us in Perthshire. Posted orders are packed into insulated chilled packaging straight after harvest and sent the same day, so they stay cold the whole way.
Do I need to wash them?
We recommend a quick rinse before use, as you would with any fresh produce. In all honesty, we tend to eat them straight from the punnet — they are grown indoors, off the ground, with no pesticides and no soil splash. Your call.
What do I actually do with them?
Pea shoots are more forgiving than most. A handful in a sandwich or wrap, through a salad, over noodles or ramen, stirred into pasta off the heat, on a jacket potato, alongside eggs. They have enough body to work as a leaf in their own right rather than only as a garnish.
Off the heat, always — heat degrades the compounds you bought them for.
Is the punnet recyclable?
Yes — it is rPET, which is recycled plastic and recyclable again. We would rather not use plastic at all, and we keep looking, but nothing we have tested yet protects a living leaf in transit the way this does. When something better exists we will move to it.
What if I'm away when they arrive?
If you subscribe, pause it — any time, no minimum, no fee. Fresh produce sitting on a doorstep for a week helps nobody. If it is a one-off order, drop us a message before we cut and we will move it to the following week.
